Friday’s are spent in Rassandenyia with the pre-school children in the morning followed by after school with the young people from the village. We have all developed a strong relationship with both the children and the teacher. This week she presented us each with a beautiful saree. We were overwhelmed that she had given them to us as gifts. When looking at them closely we noticed that the material was very good quality and that they had been sewn around the edges and that the piece for the top had been cut off, we are sure that they she has given us her own sarees. It was so kind of her and very special gesture knowing that she felt so strongly that she wanted us to be given one of her own sarees. This is a very precious gift, and each time I look at it I will remember her and her generosity.
