Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th July

The last few days in the university have been varied. As the students are no longer on strike we are following a more regimented sports programme where the first and second years are split into separate groups. The focus on Monday was upon athletics for the second years, specifically high jump and shot put as well as a grueling fitness session for everyone, involving pyramid fitness, circuits as well as a long run.
On Wednesday after agility work and many rounds of domes and dishes games we had an intense abdominal focused session in the gym. Later on instead of swimming the afternoon session is rounders today.

In the village this week there was a fair where the children sold fruit and vegetables to each other and local villagers, which Rosie and Rachael were lucky enough to attend. They both came back laden with avocados, peanuts and many more local fruits. In addition Rosie and Coutts had an eventful trip to last years village yesterday and ended up being driven home on motorbikes-the highlight of their day!
