Friday 7th August by Rebecca

Today we spent the whole day painting the school as the preschool teachers were off on a teacher training course. The painting is coming along very nicely and we cannot wait until it is finished. In the evening we were joined in Moonbridge by the post-graduate group from Tengal, consisting of John, James and Kim. We had a lovely barbecue and a wonderful time catching up on the experiences we have all made in the schools.

All in all, Friday was a very relaxing day. We had no dramatic experiences (a first!). We even all made it to bed early (possibly the most shocking and exciting thing that happened to us today). Part of the team is off to climb Adam’s Peak tomorrow whilst the other half is spending a day in Galle (a beautiful historical town on the coast which features a fort). We are all looking forward to an enjoyable weekend. Yay!
