Tuesday 3rd August by Becky

Today, myself, Neesha, Lauren and Charlotte were joined by members of the post graduate team in Gandarawatte. After having tea with the monk, we went to the pre-school where we sang songs such as 5 little ducks, head shoulders, knees and toes and other songs which involved actions and danced with the children. One of the members of the post graduate team was an extremely good violin player, and could pluck a tune out of thin air, which came in very handy, allowing us to play games such as musical chairs with the children.  Although days in the villages can be short, it is rewarding to see the continued good work and sustainability of the project, which I thoroughly hope will be replicated in Kirelawela this year.
